I Fell In Love With Paris

I have to admit, I have never seen myself as a city girl, as much as I love shopping, I have never particularly enjoyed being in a city - to me it is very stressful!

However, as you can see from the title, I fell in love with Paris.

Before I get started, I think I should let you know that I am still in high school and that my trip to Paris was a school trip and so everything was pre-organised for me, which meant that there was much less waiting in line and everything went a lot smoother than it probably would have if I had gone alone.

Anyway, Paris!

For me, one of the main reasons why I loved the trip so much was because of the atmosphere. It seemed so much more relaxed than any other city I have been to, hardly anyone was rushing to go anywhere and so I found it very easy to simply amble along at my own pace. I found it very pleasant to just stroll around the city, popping into a cafe every once in a while.

The style of buildings also posed a contrast to other cities - so chic and posh (on the outside at least) with cute balconies overlooking the city.

Despite being a city, and a very popular one at that, it seemed very quiet and empty (empty is not quite the right word). There seemed to be so much space, even at the most famous landmarks - the Eiffel Tower for example - we had no trouble finding a space at the perimeter of each level to get some photos, not even at the top!

Since I have mentioned it, the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower was absolutely stunning, I have honestly never seen anything more jaw-dropping in my entire life. The lights all over Paris on pretty much every building in sight made Paris into a beautiful spectacle at night.

While there, i also managed to determine why the Parisians have such slim and toned bodies - there were so many stairs everywhere. By the end of the trip I felt as though my legs were about to drop off!

Even with the extraordinary amount of exercise and of course the expensive everything, I felt so calm and relaxed throughout my trip and I could not stop thinking about how much i wanted to just pack up all of my stuff, give up my current career path and move out there!

I highly recommend spending some time out there!
