Be Who You Want To Be

Everyone is trying so hard to impress everyone else and that builds a lot of pressure, everyone asking themselves - am I good enough? Why should we strive to please others? The answer is... we shouldn't. The question should not be- am I good enough for the people around me? It should be- am I good enough for me?!
In today's society there is so much judgement on young people, particularly young women. So we spend our time, energy and money trying to live up to the standards expected of us. Why should we want to be the same as everyone else? We would lose everything that makes us unique.
As human beings we will always compare ourselves to others, and as much as I wish we didn't, we do and I honestly don't think that this is going to change any time soon.
What I do wish everyone would do is ask themselves why they care so much about what other people think about them. Ask yourself! Can you actually come up with a rational answer? I can't.
The sooner we start realising that the opinions of everyone around us don't matter anywhere near as much as we seem to think they do, the sooner we can start to accept ourselves for who we are, not who society wants us to be.
the moment we embrace who we are, we become so much more comfortable and happy with ourselves. When this happens, you will find yourself automatically gravitating towards people similar to you.

So, I suppose what I am trying to say is..don't be afraid of who you are.
We all wanted at some point to be super popular and
have a million friends, but the truth is, of those million friends how many can you 100% rely on and trust with anything and everything.
I have a small group of friends who I can always count on, who I can always fall back on if I need them. However this never used to be the case, I used to be a social climber, and while I was "friends" with the people at the top of the social circles I realised something. I couldn't fully trust them with a secret, when I compare that to the people who I am around now, I see how different it is, I fit in much better and I have become much happier as well - I embraced who I am and who I want to be.
A simple thing to remember...
The opinions of others shouldn't matter as much as your opinion of yourself - it is your life, not theirs!
Well, that's it for this post! Hope you like and hope it helps!
Lots of Love
